History of CNC Machining

The history of CNC machining dates back to the development of the first numerically controlled (NC) machines in the 1940s. Over time, these machines became more common and more sophisticated. This enables them to meet requirements of various industries including aerospace, automotive and defense.

However, old NC machines still required manual entry and had limited functionality. This all changed with the advent of computers in the 1970s, which revolutionized manufacturing and gave birth to the first CNC machines. Computer control, yes. to process information faster and more accurately.

With a CNC, the operator can enter data directly into the machine, and the machine will automatically perform the desired operation. As technology has continued to improve over the years, this is just the beginning for CNC machines. The development of more advanced software and hardware and the introduction of new material and tooling options means more possibilities for manufacturing units.

Today, CNC machines are common across several industries, capable of producing a wide variety of products with high accuracy and precision.
